Abstract
One of the important issues during the period of studying science and student life is securing a livelihood; because an individual does not have enough time to work and earn an income due to his/her studies and need for leisure. This is while there is a doctrine among the seminary students that, relying on hadith documents, believes that God has guaranteed the livelihood of those who seek knowledge and students. According to them, a person who enters the seminary should only be engaged in scholarly affairs such as studying, debating, preaching, and teaching and should not seek to work to earn a living at all. The main question of this research is how the students of the Qom seminary have experienced this doctrine in their lives? Using the field method, the author has obtained information about the lived experience of the students through various techniques of “interviewing students”, “participatory observation”, and “written documents”. The content analysis method was used to analyze the collected data and classify them. The results of the study show that students do not have the same experiences with the doctrine of securing the livelihood of "students". Students are divided into three types: "absolute believers", "non-believers" and "conditional believers". Some believers have conditioned the securing of livelihood to components such as; "seriousness in studying and seeking knowledge", "fulfilling one's duty", "trust", "appeal to God and the saints", "wearing the robes of the clergy", "divine piety", "sincerity" and "contentment".
