Abstract

Religion is a transcendental matter that refers to a set of moral rules provided by God to guide humans in the form of religious instructions. One of the most important functions of religiosity is a feeling of hope, happiness, joy, and mental peace (satisfaction with life). Accordingly, the main purpose of studying the role of religiosity factors on life satisfaction. The research method is meta-analysis, purposive-non-probability sampling method; from the statistical population of 49 documents from the scientific resources of Normags, MagIran, IranDoc, and the scientific database of Jihad Daneshgahi, 36 scientific documents were selected as the sample size between 1389 and 1402 based on the entry and exit criteria and were analyzed through Cohen's d and Fisher's f tests. The results show that the effect size of religiosity on life satisfaction is 0.481. Also, religious lifestyle (0.200); participation in religious rituals (0.176); Family religiosity (0.302); religious awareness (0.189); and giving meaning to life (0.241) as factors of religiosity had a significant effect on life satisfaction during the period 2010-2013.
